I've been using the Speed Shooter harness for over a year now and the first time I did I quickly realized it was going to change my life. I have been around the world with it, been in vehicles and awkward angles of shooting, it is always reliable and helpful in getting the shot.

If you use large glass, you will not only be able to be more creative as you can stop down and slow down your shooting to make things interesting, you will also be far less fatigued than trying to hand hold or haul a tripod and gimbal around.

Being able to move, stablize and shoot on the fly is something i can't imagine being without ever again. I never go out without it, it is always on when I'm shooting and it is the single biggest game changer to my photography since mirrorless.

Ron has invested a huge amount of time and has used feedback from top level photographers to develop this system, it is unique and indispensable. Do not hesitate to make it part of your kit. You won't regret it.

Full disclosure: I was involved in both the development of the MonoGimbal and the development of the Speed Shooter system. 

My original version, that I gave Ron, utilized a commercially available Flag Carrier and commercially available components. 

Ron is now making his own harness and has developed and improved the system far beyond the original version. His improvements are specifically geared towards photography and in my opinion make this the best system for wildlife photography on the market today by far.

Due to my unique knowledge and understanding of this system this review will thoroughly cover many of the features of this system.

The Camo webbing is a great choice of pattern. A very sturdy webbing materiel and a good all use Camo pattern. 

Stitching looks and feels very sturdy. 

The harness Ron sent me is the “ultralite” version. This is very strong, I do not think there is any reason to choose the "Standard" version as this version is super strong and a heavier version does not seem necessary. 

The findings are sturdy and many are metal….Good choice of findings. 

Lots of adjustability. Nice angle of attachment for the straps, good stitching. 

Holes (i.e., Chest Strap Load-Out: optional) securely keep chest/safety strap at desired height and are nicely melted in. 

The center chest/safety strap seems very sturdy and well made. The adjustable length of the safety strap adds stability. 

The MOLLE straps (optional) are nicely done and will prevent pouches from sliding around, and provide more versatile attachment points. Given MOLLE is an almost universal system this is desirable for people with other MOLLE accessories. 

The waist belt is useful to custom distribute weight and for those who want to reduce play in the harness (some will like the belt some will not, I like it) I find it useful and recommend it. 

The sewn on label is really really cool. It is quite visible but not overly brightly colored and it has an excellent feel to it. It is also just the right size and placed in a very good location. 

The harness comes with a hang tag. Scanning the tag links to a set up video. 

Overall it is obvious that Ron has put a lot of thought into the design and improvement of this system. The harness goes way beyond the original and the improvements are specifically functional for the intended photography purposes. 

This is a much better harness than a basic flag carrier and I am very very impressed by what Ron is doing. 

The harness is easily customizable with many MOLLE and tactical accessories widely available.
